Bryncynon operates from several locations, each hosting a variety of activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of our community. Our team, comprising both staff and volunteers works collaboratively, creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels valued and supported.

Volunteer Opportunities Available

We offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities, including but not limited to:

  • Telephone Befriending: Providing companionship and support over the phone.

  • Face-to-Face Befriending: Building connections with individuals in the community.

  • Front of House / Barista: Serving as the welcoming face of our organization.

  • Kitchen Assistant: Helping with meal preparation and kitchen duties.

  • Social Media and Website Management: Assisting with our online presence and engagement.

  • Delivering Hot Meals to Seniors: Bringing nutritious meals to those in need.

  • Food Pantry and Food Box Assistance: Supporting our efforts to combat food insecurity.

  • Driving and Assisting Drivers: Helping with transportation needs within the community.

  • Gardening: Contributing to our community growing projects and  maintaining green spaces.

  • Caretaking/Handyman Services: Assisting with maintenance and repair tasks.

  • Administrative Support: Helping with office tasks and organizational needs.

  • Conducting Surveys: Gathering valuable feedback and insights from the community.

  • Assisting with Activities and Events: Supporting various community events and programs.

  • Fundraising: Helping to raise essential funds for our initiatives.

 

This list is not exhaustive—people from all walks of life are encouraged to get involved. If you possess specific skills or talents that you believe could benefit our organization, or if you simply want to give back to the community, volunteering is a wonderful way to do so.
