Angling and being by the river
With the generous financial support of the Natural Resources Wales Wild Fishing Wales European Union funding initiative, access to riverside angling at the Green Valley Centre has been made fully accessible, with a boardwalk running the whole length of a 250 Metre riverside fishery. This incorporates the availability of a number of single and double fishing pegs, which comply with British Disabled Angling Association specifications.
As a result the River Cynon at the Green Valley Centre offers an excellent location for a good day’s fishing, or organised events hosted by local fishing clubs.
Dedicated car parking for disabled anglers is available at each of the Green Valley Centre site entrances, which are linked to the riverside by fully wheelchair accessible boardwalks. An environment friendly bio-loo toilet is also available for use by anglers visiting the Green Valley site.
Through a partnership agreement with The Osprey Fly Fishers Association based in Abercynon, full access to the riverside is available at all times, with the Osprey Association hosting regular angling events and training sessions for young anglers.
Angling is permitted via annual membership of the Osprey Fly Fishers Association, or via day tickets, which can be purchased from either the Green Valley Centre or the Osprey Association.
To purchase day tickets directly from Green Valley Centre, please insert your details below and someone will contact you.
Day tickets and annual permits can also be brought from the Osprey Fly Fishing Association
