About

The Green Valley Centre was started in 2005 when the local community came together to create a greenspace to help local people gain greater awareness of their environment and establish a local centre for conservation and sustainable biodiversity.

Over the years the Centre has grown and extended its activities into horticultural production to the point where, throughout the growing season, a range of fresh locally grown organic vegetables are available.  This finds its way into the local community via farmers markets, a veggie-box scheme, food coops, local stalls and food festivals. People can also experience the tasty delights of produce from the Green Valley, as it often supplies the local Gastro pub, The Bunch of Grapes at Pontypridd.
